So the last few days have been spent with the 360 playing online and so forth. Online play is fun and interesting but the gameplay is not unique. The graphics are sharp but there's nothing new. I'm gonna stick with Nintendo for the long run folks, "there'll be no conversions today."

Well, now that I got a bit of time to play around with it here are my thoughts. Microsoft got their stuff together in putting together the 360. Of course, when something is this expensive they can afford to make it nicer. That's my main problem with the 360, expense. It's far too expensive for a console, however, it is slightly underpriced for being a PC. Make no mistake, the 360 is more a PC and less a console. In that way Microsoft has done very well by providing the beginnings of a very enjoyable online experience. Of my time on the 360 much has been spent exploring the market place and its offerings. Many of the trailers offered on live have been downloaded but more importantly the arcade games have offered the greatest attraction. The arcade games are unique and awesomely fun (Geometry Wars!). Of course, let's get to the actual games. Yes, the games are tons of fun in HD but the graphics aren't yet at the level I expect from this console. In particular the trees need a lot of work as they just look far too out of place. There are times on load screens where things freeze for a second or two (Ridge Racer) and PGR3 has frozen on me a couple times during load screens. It's to be expected and seems to be a programming issue rather than a heat issue. Enjoyable? Yes. Worth the price for most people? No. Worth the price for hardcore gamers? Yes. I also like the Windows Media Connect feature which allows me to play audio and view pictures from my PCs around the house.

Called it months ago for this exact timing. Winner! Nick and Jessica have officially split up. Now Akshay will finally have a chance at either at them! Article

For the last two days I've had a movie night going on after work. Most times with movie night I watch feature length movies with Kyle and Eric. This time around I had a surprise in store for them. For two straight nights we've watched discs 1 and 2 (of 3) from Season 1 of Kenny vs Spenny. Ever since I saw the first episode of Kenny vs Spenny on CBC I've been a fan. The show is dynamic and exhibits raw behaviour slightly in both directions from the middle of the good/evil spectrum. Well, evil is a harsh word to describe Kenny. I like to think of Kenny has the competitive one. Spenny tries to win by being the most honest and forthright but that involves doing the least of what actually matters: competing. You want to know what the show is about? It's about two childhood friends, Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice (in their early 30s now), who have competitions lasting over a period of several days. That on its own wouldn't be exciting except the manner of competitions. For instance, the first episode on the first DVD is: Who can stay blindfolded the longest. The two friends have to stay blindfolded for 3 days. As hilarious as that competition is on its own the show really gets its flavour from the genius of Kenny. Kenny Hotz is by far one of the funniest people I've every seen on TV. If I was allowed to have a hero then Kenny would be mine (super villains aren't allowed to have heros). Kenny uses a sliver of his brain to drive Spenny crazy in unique and interesting manners that most people would never even think of. He finds ways to win contests that normal folk wouldn't dream of in a million years. Of course, Kenny needs somebody to bother and Spenny completes the other 50% of the show. My previous paragraph made it seem like Kenny was the entire show, not so. Spenny is all that is sweet and innocent in this world; he's incorruptable and far too trustworthy for his own good. Spenny also takes an incredible amount of abuse in a distinguished and gentlemanly manner. He reminds me of the officers you see in the British army from days gone by. Together, Kenny and Spenny form an incredible dynamic (I may be repeating myself by now) going back and forth in an incredible battle between good and super sweet. So this is like a place for...like my thoughts...and like stuff like that...yah knoooow? Geeez, that's quite valley girl, init? I bring up Valley Girls because I was writing a paper on some terms that are associated with Valley Girls when I wondered: What's it like to be a valley girl? Since all my valley girl friends are out on the West Coast and out partying at this time I had to deduce the answer on my own. The answer is of course: "Awesome, tee hee hee." See, Valley Girls are ditzy, happy, and bouncy (usually in that order). So they're in a perpetual state of bliss. Me, I'm in a perpetual state of bliss because I kick so much ass (but that's just me). That doesn't answer the question entirely though as to be is not simply being. It's also how people treat you. If your friends are all Valley Girls (I'm talking about a Valley Girl having Valley Girl friends, not myself with all my Valley Girl friends) then the environment is likely to be all fuzzy and warm and giggly and supportive. If you go to places outside the valley though you're likely to run into people who make fun of you. How do Valley Girls usually handle the people? Pouting and a "let's go girls." That's right, Valley Girls know just to walk away cause if they stayed around they would kick ass with all the self defense classes they've taken. Guys (the pigs they are, not me though, I'm a gentleman), are usually treating Valley Girls like their own little personal playthings and although some of the Girls think that's ok, it's not. You're a person who deserves respect and...ha ha ha ha...oh, I couldn't say that with a straight face. But seriously, stand up for yourself. Someday, you'll marry that football star and live in a bright shiny house in the Valley with all the most amazing fashion in the world. Isn't that just precious? *giggle* Good night everybody and good dreamin'.

I'm doing my regular end of year project and this time around it will be a website. I need alpha testers for it. If you're interested drop me a line: alpha dot testing at my domain name. The first version won't look all that snazzy but it'll get there fast. Thanks

I've never ever had much luck with setting up qmail as permissions have been messed up or something else funky has gone on but now...NOW...let me tell you folks...NEVER GIVE UP!! NEVER SURRENDER!! I will provide details on my procedure later on.
